And the dean of student says about the SARS:
Dear Students
This morning a student fell ill during a class quiz. Her temperature was taken, and as a precautionary measure she was taken to a designated isolation area at ETS. An ambulance was called, and the student was checked by a nurse. Rather than taking the ambulance to the hospital, the student chose instead to leave campus with her father and to go to her GP for an examination. Her GP does not suspect her of having SARS. She has been told to stay at home for a few days.
We have also ascertained that the student has not been to any SARS indexed country and has not come into close contact with suspected or confirmed SARS patients. She did register a temperature, some aches and pain, but displayed no other SARS-like symptoms. The university is still monitoring this situation closely .
We would like to remind everyone that while a fever does not in itself indicate SARS, please exercise good judgment by not coming to campus if you are having a fever, and visit your physician for proper examination and treatment.
